How booking by phone works

1. Call +44 20 3893 5434. Our phone line is staffed Monday to Saturday, 9am to 6pm.
2. Tell the agent where you want to stay, your dates, how many people are travelling and roughly what you want to spend.
3. We come back with hotel options. For each one we say what the price covers, such as the room type, meals and whether taxes are included.
4. You choose whether to go ahead. Ask about payment steps and cancellation terms before you agree to anything.

If you would rather write than call, use the quote form on this page. No payment is taken on the form, and an agent will phone or email you with a price.

What to have ready when you call

You do not need all of this. A destination and rough dates are enough to start, and the agent will ask for the rest. It helps to know:

• your dates, and whether you can move them by a day or two
• how many adults are travelling and the ages of any children
• the rooms you need, such as a double, twin or family room, and whether you need a cot or an extra bed
• the area or landmark you want to be near
• a budget per night or for the whole stay
• must-haves such as breakfast, parking, a pool or step-free access
• the full names of the guests as they should appear on the booking

Why some people prefer to call

Booking online works well for a simple one-night stay. A phone call tends to help when the trip is less straightforward, for example when:

• you need several rooms or a mix of room types
• you are travelling as a family with children of different ages
• the stay is long, or split between two hotels
• you want a hotel and flights quoted together
• you have special requests, such as a quiet room, a late arrival or an accessible room
• you are not sure which part of a city is best for you

Talking it through means you can describe what matters to you instead of filtering a long list, and you can ask questions as they come up.

Questions worth asking on the call

These apply to any hotel booking, whoever you book with. Getting the answers in writing before you pay avoids surprises.

• Is the price per room or per person, and for how many nights?
• Are taxes and any resort or city fees included, or paid at the hotel?
• Is breakfast included, and what does it cost if not?
• Can the booking be changed or cancelled, and until when?
• How far is the hotel from the station, airport or beach?
• Is there a charge for parking or wifi?
• What is the payment schedule?
