Chania has the old harbour and is in the west. Heraklion is a large city and the main airport, close to Knossos. Tell us what you want and we will suggest where to stay.

July and August are hottest and busiest. May, June, September and October are often more comfortable.

Crete is large, and a hire car makes day trips easier. If you plan to stay near your hotel, you may not need one.

Resort areas with beaches close to the hotel, such as around Agios Nikolaos or Hersonissos, are popular. Tell us your needs.

Some resorts offer it. Many hotels sell bed and breakfast or half board instead. Ask what the meal plan covers.
